Your inventory stays on your device

Frostbite, an app from Around Find Out, keeps food records, photographs, freezer locations, reminder settings, and usage history in protected local storage. The app has no accounts, analytics, third-party advertising networks, or cloud synchronization service.

Frostbite does not send your inventory or app activity to the developer. You don’t need to provide a name or email address to use the app.

Photos and permissions

Camera access is optional and is requested when you choose to take a photo. Frostbite receives the picture you take for an item or choose through Apple’s system photo picker. It saves a resized, processed copy and excludes the original photo metadata, including location metadata.

You can remove an item’s photo in the editor and change camera permission in device Settings. Declining camera access doesn’t prevent you from using the rest of Frostbite.

Local reminders

Optional food reminders and the monthly freezer review use local iOS notifications. Frostbite doesn’t send them through a developer-operated notification service. Reminder text can include a food name, so your device’s notification-preview settings determine what appears on the lock screen.

You can disable reminders in Frostbite or change notification permissions in device Settings.

Backups, exports, and deletion

Frostbite excludes its inventory from automatic device backup. A complete backup you export contains your records and photos. You choose its destination through the system file interface. That destination may synchronize files according to your own settings and its provider’s policies.

You can delete food records and remove photos in the app. Deleting Frostbite removes its local app data. Exported copies remain at the destinations where you saved or shared them until you delete those copies yourself.

The developer cannot retrieve your inventory. Keep an export if you want a recoverable copy.

App Store purchase

Apple handles the upfront App Store purchase under its own terms and privacy practices. Frostbite has no in-app checkout, subscription, or separate purchase unlock.

Links to our other apps

Explore Our Apps is a bundled directory of other Around Find Out apps. Opening the directory does not contact a server. If you choose an app, Frostbite opens its listing on Apple’s App Store. Apple handles the destination and purchase information under its own terms and privacy practices. Frostbite does not receive payment details and does not track these taps.

Website and support

These Frostbite pages contain no analytics, advertising scripts, tracking cookies, or embedded third-party media. The hosting service may process connection information, such as an IP address and requested URL, to deliver and protect the website. The app and this website have separate data flows.

If you contact support by email, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send. We use that information to respond and resolve your request. Please avoid sending food photos, inventory backups, or sensitive information unless needed for a support issue.

You can request deletion of support correspondence by contacting us. Copies may remain where required for legal obligations or in the email service’s normal retention and backup processes. We don’t have access to your on-device inventory to delete it remotely.
