A little help with your freezer.
Start with a name
Open Inventory and choose Add Food. Only the food name is required. Add a photo or quantity if it helps. Under Storage Location, tap Freezer to choose a location or select Add New Freezer. Frostbite selects the new freezer and keeps your food draft open. Save & Add Another lets you enter several foods in a row and keeps your last storage location.
More Details holds category, labels, notes, frozen date, optional use-by date, food reminders, and a low-quantity threshold. You can edit these later.
Find and use your food
Create locations in Freezers, then select a freezer to browse its food. Tap the pencil to rename or delete the freezer. When you delete a freezer, its food stays in Inventory as unassigned. Archived food stays archived. Add Food from a freezer starts with that location selected. Use shelves or drawers to record where food is stored. Inventory lets you search, filter, and sort across all locations. Open an item to see its details and quantity history.
Press and hold a food row for quick actions. Use One subtracts one of the item’s units when at least one is available. For a smaller or different amount, open the food’s details. Mark Fully Used when you finish it. Unknown quantities can stay blank.
Archiving keeps a record out of your active inventory. Find archived foods with the inventory filter to restore them. To permanently remove a food and its quantity history, open its actions menu or press and hold its row, then choose Delete Food.
Understand Use Soon
- Past Your Entered Date shows foods after a use-by date you entered.
- Coming Up includes entered dates from today through the next 14 days.
- Stored Longest uses the recorded frozen date.
- Low Quantity uses each food’s configured threshold, in that food’s own unit.
Frostbite avoids repeating items where practical. Unknown quantities are different from zero and don’t match a low-quantity threshold.
These are organization tools. Frostbite doesn’t estimate expiration, predict spoilage, or determine whether food is safe.
Photos and reminders
Camera and photo-library entry are optional. If camera access was denied, allow it in your device’s Settings for Frostbite. You can always save a food without a photo.
Food reminders live in Add/Edit Food. The monthly review is under More → Your Freezer → Freezer Review Reminder. Allow notifications when asked, or adjust them in device Settings.
Focus, notification settings, and system limits can affect delivery. Reminders aren’t guaranteed. Reopen Frostbite after changing notification permissions so it can refresh its reminder status.
Keep a backup you control
- Exit sample inventory if it is open.
- Go to More → Data & Privacy → Export Complete Backup.
- Save the JSON file to a destination in Files that you control.
- To restore or move it to another device, open Frostbite and choose Import Backup.
A complete backup contains food records, freezer locations, quantity history, photos, and food-reminder settings. Appearance and the monthly review preference are set separately.
Import adds new records and skips identical records. If an existing record or photo conflicts, the import stops and your current inventory stays intact. This is backup and transfer, not live sharing or synchronization.
If a backup contains enabled food reminders, Frostbite asks before restoring eligible reminders. Notification permission is still required on the receiving device.
Export before changing devices or removing Frostbite. Inventory is excluded from automatic device backups. Keep the export somewhere you can retrieve it. Deleting the app removes its local data, and the developer has no server copy to recover.
Make it yours
More → Appearance offers System, Light, and Dark. System follows your device. Success Haptics can be adjusted under Your Freezer.
Explore Sample Inventory is separate from your own food. Use Exit to return to personal inventory. Reminder and backup controls are available there.
Frostbite uses a one-time App Store purchase. Its Lifetime page describes what is included. There is no second purchase or subscription to restore inside the app.
Explore our apps
Open More → Frostbite Lifetime → Explore Our Apps to discover other Around Find Out apps. Selecting an app opens its App Store listing, where you can check pricing and availability. Exploring the directory is optional and does not change your Frostbite access.
Frostbite includes all its features with the upfront purchase. There is no trial, subscription, or additional unlock.
