Daywright support

Let’s get it sorted.

Email [email protected] for help or feedback. You’ll be contacting Jason, Daywright’s developer.

Include your device/iOS version, app build, what you expected, and what happened. Remove private task, calendar, location and pay information from screenshots. Never send passwords, sign-in codes, offer codes or payment details.

This page describes build 56. Start with the guide, or expand the questions below.

Common questions

Where can I download Daywright?

Join the public TestFlight beta for iPhone and iPad. This is not a public App Store release. iOS 17 or iPadOS 17 or later is required. Android is in development, with no public download yet.

What can I do for free?

Create up to five active personal to-dos; edit, schedule, complete and reopen work; use ordinary repeats/reminders, manual shifts, capture, Siri Add/Show today, quick add and widgets. Received copies, completed tasks and generated repeat occurrences do not count toward the allowance.

What does Plus add?

Plus removes the task cap and adds time-fit planning, structured progress/waiting, Nearby reminders, templates/rotations, Work/pay inputs, private-link sending and Live Activities. Settings → Subscription shows each plan’s localized price, duration, eligible trial, renewal and legal links before confirmation. Products, purchase and restore remain beta testing targets.

What happens when Plus expires?

Your saved information is not automatically deleted. Free actions remain available, including editing and completing existing tasks and making an existing waiting task ready again. Only a new active personal addition is blocked if you are already at or above the Free cap. Removing the app does not cancel an Apple subscription.

Do I need to connect a calendar?

No. Calendar permission is optional. Daywright reads included device calendars without writing their events. Manage calendar accounts, including Google accounts, in device Settings; build 56 has no direct Google sign-in. Plus Free now can use the time you state. Read any incomplete-coverage notice.

How do I show or hide pay?

Work settings begins with Pay display. Show pay on Daywright Home starts off; turn it on and Save if wanted. Hide pay amounts masks displayed dollars until you tap. Tap again to hide, or leave the app to end the reveal session. It is visual privacy, not Face ID or an access lock. Widget dollars stay hidden while Hide pay amounts is enabled.

Why does my pay period start today?

New settings and the old unset-date default use today in your Work time zone. A chosen saved date remains unchanged. Cadence options are Weekly, Every 2 weeks, Twice a month and Monthly. Twice a month means the 1st–15th and 16th–last day.

How do I send a to-do?

With Plus, choose Send to-do from the To-do page ellipsis or an individual task menu, then review the copy. A preview sends nothing. Deliberately create/share a link when the service is available. Include a place only if you want its name, address and coordinates shared. Anyone with the full link can read it; stopping future access cannot recall saved copies. Read the steps.

Does sending a shift arrange cover?

No. It sends an independent scheduled copy to review. It does not contact an employer, confirm an agreement or change a schedule automatically. Pay rates, payments and actual worked hours are excluded.

Can I sync tasks or use Apple Watch?

Not in build 56. Each device has its own local task list and there is no Watch companion. Device backups are separate. An update does not prove old backups or any previously stored cloud records were erased; manage those through Apple.

What if a reminder or widget is late?

Permissions and operating-system timing affect reminders and widget refresh. Open Daywright and read any unavailable/limit notice. Nearby reminders require Plus and appropriate location/notification access. A countdown or scheduled time ending never marks a to-do complete.

Can I keep titles private outside the app?

Settings → Widgets & Live Activities has separate widget and Live Activity title options. They do not hide information spoken by Siri or passed to later shortcut actions. Siri Add can open a draft if Review before adding is enabled.

Where did Daywright: Shift go?

Shifts and pay estimates are part of Work in the single Daywright app. Older Shift data is not imported automatically. The legacy Shift privacy policy remains available.

Where is the built-in help?

Open Settings → Using Daywright. Expand a heading to see clearly numbered steps; every heading starts collapsed. If a step is confusing, tell us its heading, device and build.
